It takes a village to put on an art collaboration; two friends with creative ambitions, a sassy dynamic and visionary hotel manager at the Coral Beach Best Western Hotel, an inspired Director of The Alliance Francaise, friends who generously offer an amazing light installation with a handy man in tow, a generous handy husband, a dedicated mother, the Director of www.ilovedar.com who is a supportive fan of the art, MMI providing the lovely Argentinian wine, staff at the Coral Beach Best Western hotel who were at at our beck and call, friends shuttling the paintings in their cars and taking in the smell of fresh paint, friends who come to support and even walk away with a purchase or two.
Art and jewelry and the interest in it is very subjective, so when people are willing to take it into their lives, there is no price tag to that. We hope we brought something new last night from the best venue on the peninsula, inspired others to tap into their creative sides, and provided memories of Dar Es Salaam that will hang on their walls and ear lobes for some time.
