Sketching in Bath

Bath Loving

Going back to England means going back to a village close to Bath. Tom just outside Bath and I can never pass up the opportunity to go into the old Roman city to walk around and take in the atmosphere whether rain, snow or shine. Luckily it was summer this time and even more amazing was the fact that the sun was shinning! So Tom tested out his new camera and I took my small sketch book out, our two hobbies a perfect collaboration.

Bench Chat at the Royal Crescent

I sat down on a bench as the wondered off clicking. A couple sat next to me for the duration of my sketch and I quietly listened to their musings as I sketched. Looking at the windows of the Royal Crescent wondering which celebrities lived there, apparently Johnny Depp has a flat there amongst other equally famous individuals.

Royal Crescent Panoramic

Bathing in Colour

Fifteen minutes and I had done a rough sketch. A colourful rendition of the Royal Crescent trying out my new watercolours from Daniel Smith, with exotic exciting names I cannot pronounce like ‘Quinacridone Gold’ and others I can like ‘Moonglow’ and ‘Cobalt Teal Blue’.
