A solo exhibition on August 5th, 2011 at the Makutano Art Gallery in Dar es Salaam, featuring a collection of various works by Lotus Menezes.
By the Stroke of a Brush featured artwork which varied in subject from Lotus’ “Seascape Series,” paintings of seascapes around the Dar es Salaam area, to “The Women,” figure paintings of women, to “musings,” paintings of objects and fruits, which showed Lotus’ diversity as well as her years of progress and evolution.
