Lynette is one of those ladies you see from across the room and she oozes style. From the moment I met her, I knew I wanted to paint her. So it was only natural that one day over coffee I said to her, I have the perfect black canvas just waiting for your portrait.
Tuesdays over coffee and paint
And so it was, the dates set, the coffee brewing, we sat down to chat about travel, life and moving on, as Lynette is moving back to the Netherlands after some time here in the Dominican Republic. She is an amazing woman with so many stories of having lived in different parts of the world, from Suriname to Tehran, Budapest, Vienna, New York and London and now she is going back to her home. In the short time that I have known Lynnette, she will certainly be missed but as travelling ladies we know its not good bye just a see you later as we now have friends to visit in different parts of the world.
Thank you
Thank you Lynette for letting me paint an impression of you in oils on a black canvas. Thank you for the lovely conversation and the two lovely Tuesday mornings with you in March. Safe trip. I am so glad I got to paint such a fun portrait and the first time on a black canvas. I will be off to Casa Del Artista, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic www.lacasadelartistadom.com to buy some more tomorrow!
